Jesus Perez Wins the 2018 SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® South Texas Regional
34-year-old mason Jesus Perez Jimenez is another Ranch Masonry product out of Houston, TX. He’s been laying brick since he was 14-years-old when he would work with his father on the weekends and during the summer.Perez says he enjoys working as a mason “because it’s gratifying to see something built with your own two hands. Masonry is truly an art form that is on display for everyone to see.” He also adds, “Another thing that is great about the industry is the comradery and life-long friendships I have made over the years.”
Working side-by-side with defending World Champion David Chavez, Perez has been witness to how the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 can change lives, “The SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 gives the younger generation who may not be familiar with our trade the opportunity to see first-hand how we work and the benefits you can reap.” Getting to watch Chavez roll into work with his new Ford F250 4×4 everyday might serve as motivation as well.
To get ready for Las Vegas, Perez plans to prepare mentally and physically behind the support of his family and friends. He practiced several times getting ready for the regional, and now he says he’s ready to showcase his talents for the first time in Las Vegas.
