Leif Reints Returns to Las Vegas to Defend the Title, ‘SPEC MIX TOP CRAFTSMAN’

Leif Reints, 38, is a past SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® World Champion, winning the competition in 2012 in his second appearance. This year will be his 7th trip to the Las Vegas for the finals, but this time he’s coming in as the defending SPEC MIX TOP CRAFTSMAN®, where he was the first mason in the history of the event to take home a John Deer Gator XUV835 Crossover Utility Vehicle. Now he wants to not only repeat, but take the top title as well.

Reints learned the trade 18 years ago while attending Northeastern Vocational School in Afton, OK. He’s excited about the SMBL500 and says that he’s proud to be a part of something that brings knowledge to the public about the masonry trade and gives young masons a goal.

If he wins the top title this year, Reints will celebrate big in Las Vegas before heading back home to Wyandotte, Oklahoma. He would like to thank his family, friends, sponsors, and especially Bud Johnson for all their support.
